Installation

Extract the zipped package downloaded from ThemeForest to your desktop. In the extracted package you will find foodka.zip which is the WordPress theme file.

You can install the theme one of two ways:

• Via FTP: Extract the foodka.zip file and upload the extracted folder to the /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server.

• Via WordPress: Navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload page. Select the foodka.zip file.
  Press the Install Now button to upload and install the theme.

After uploading the theme, you must activate it. Navigate to the Appearance > Themes page to activate the theme.

Import Demo Data

• Via WordPress: Navigate to Appearance > Import Demo Data page. After select any of the demo and then click on the Import button.
  Once you have done your demo will be ready.

Manual Import

If you still have trouble installing the demo with the one click importer you can try to do it manually. Please have in mind that you will need to have the required plugins installed and active. After that, all you need to do is to follow these simple steps.

Import The Demo XML file and The Theme Options.

On your WordPress Dashboard, go to Tools → Import → WordPress.

Install the WordPress Importer.

Browse for the XML file and import it.
All of the demo content should now be uploaded to your site and ready to use.

Import Theme Options

On your WordPress Dashboard, go to Smart → Theme Options
Click the “Cloud” button, located beside the “Save Options” button.
Browse for the JSON file and import it.
All of the demo options should now be uploaded to your site.

Set Up the Front Page

Go to your WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Reading panel.
Set ‘Front page displays:’ to ‘a static page’ and choose the home page.
Save changes.

Menu

foodka supports one location for a custom WordPress menu - the Main Menu:

• The Main Menu supports 4 levels of drop-downs.

For menu setup, navigate to the Appearance > Menus page. Enter a name for your menu and add links to the menu by using the options given on the left sidebar. You can manage your menus using the drag and drop functionality.
After setting up your menu, select the menu you just created from the theme locations drop-down box and hit the "Save" button.

Widget

foodka comes with 4 different custom widgets:

To activate a widget drag it to a sidebar or click on it. To deactivate a widget and delete its settings, drag it back.
